    Default Mario All Stars Question...

Are there two Mario All-STars game?

In our (EB's) computer, there are two similar games listed.

    Mario Allstars $4.99
    Spr Mario AS/Wrld $24.99

Was there a conglomeration of all 4 SMB games on one cartridge?

Yes. All Stars with Super Mario World was a pack-in exclusive. It's definitely sweet to have all 4 on one cart.

Yeah, the 5 in 1 cart is absolutely amazing. I mean, Mario 1-3 and World? Can life get any better with that baby sitting in your SNES?

    I think not.

Its Super Mario Brothers 1-3 USA Super Mario Bros 2j (aka Lost Levels) and World. Nice to see something like this but it would be nice to have it Allstars+World as a gba cart.

Right On, 5 in 1. Forgot the Lost Levels. What a fantastic compilation. Still the benchmark. World is still my favorite.

I wish they had given us Zelda in such a state. The originals with memory card save are very nice on the GC collector's edition, but upgraded graphics & sound added to nigh identical gameplay such as in All-Stars or even Ninja Gaiden Trilogy would be godly. Konami needs to do this for Castlevania. The arranged mode on Castlevania Chronicles was really cool.

I back up that statement 100%. Don't get me wrong, Super Mario Advance 1 2 and 4 was nice.(Since 3 was Yoshi's Island)..but they needed to just release Super Mario All-Stars on GBA and call it a day instead of milking the cash cow and giving different features like "Oh look, 5 coins in this level..wee"
These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!

A little advertised fact is that Super Mario World on the Super Mario All-Stars compilation cart could be considered SMW 2.0. Luigi's face looks more like himself than being a simple clone of Mario and he jumps a little floaty. All of these changes made it into the Gameboy Advance port if I'm not mistaken.

You are correct. In fact, there was a page somewhere on the internet about all the differences between the original World and the special compilation version, but I can't find it. I'll look later. It was pretty cool. There are a lot more differences than just luigi's face.

A lot more. So if you find this cart in the wild, even if you have both of the originals, get the compilation for the differences.

The database only includes games on-hand. Kinda silly, a simple "0 Quantity" tag would do just fine.

Unfortunately all our store's allstars were taken in at the $25 sku, because we were trying to get the customer more tradein money lol.

I picked up that SMW+All Stars two weeks ago. Is so awesome! Now I can play any of the mario games plus SMW without changing the cart! (Altough I prefer the classic Nes versions )
Step Back! This is my blast shot!

yeah, well who needs 1 cart when i can have 2

i am lucky that my kid sister knows nothing about games. if you have looked at my game pics, you can tell that the snes was my entire family's system, and then nobody played it anymore, and it became mine. my sister got all stars brand new awhile back, so i am lucky enough to have all of my games, plus anything my family bought (including a complete all stars). it would be cool to have that comp cart, but i guess i will have to deal with what i have, wont i.

DAMN, I couldn't have put it any better!!!!!!!!!!! Life does not get any better than that!

Back in the day at my local FUNCOLAND, I would ask them if they had the 5 in 1 cart about 40-50 consecutive times of going there. and every single time, the answer was, NO.

I feel so stupid. When I first started collecting, I must have passed up the combo cart a half a dozen times. By the time I learned it had differences and actually wanted it, it was gone.
