I just picked it up today from EB for $20. Of course Chains of Promitha (FFXI Expansion) comes out tommorow so I probably wont put a huge chunk of time into X-2.

My friends answer: If you like FFX a lot, you'll love FFX-2. If you don't like X, don't even bother trying X-2. And get over the girlyness, it's quite fun.

Battle system gets annoying near the end if you never bothered to do any of the extra side missions and just want to skip to the end and beat it.

Didn't like it much. The charlie's angels intro rip off pretty much set the rest of the game for me. Its not bad per se its just not good either.

I thought it was better than Final Fantasy X myself. Maybe because that goddamn pansy tidus and surfer-freak wakka weren't really in it.
The only thing that really pissed me off was that they ditched lulu for Paine. (Paine was ok, but she's no lulu)

Honestly, I was kinda surprised at how good at was, I expected to REALLY HATE IT. Don't get me wrong, wasn't the best game in the world, and they didn't explain it well... I was at chapter 4 with like 15% of the game done and started over because I didn't know you could go to other locations other than the hotspots, lol.

I enjoyed Final Fantasy X alot, but Final Fantasy X-2 isn't even half as fun. The non-linearity idea was great, but the way they went about implimenting it wasn't. Getting 100% so you could get the best ending felt more like a chore than actually being fun to me. I did however like the job system, that was pretty fun to play with.

Uh, well, considering that I have FF7 ranked 7th out of the 11 FF games, I'd say yes, it WAS better then FF7. :P

You know, some of us out there actually think FF7 is crap.

X2 was fun, but in the end it was just far too easy. If they put that same battle system with challenge and a sweet classic Square storyline, it would have been a really fun game.

In the end it was just too lighthearted to really be entertaining enough. Don't get me wrong, I definitely finished the game in about 40 hours, but there was too much charlies angels crap in it.

I'm definitely looking forward to XII though, been a while since X.

Has anyone played X2 with Yuna's Tiny Bee Gun Controllers and if so, how was it?

    Nah, I don't HATE FF 7 -- there's no FF game I HATE -- but I don't LOVE it either.

My personal order of the FF games, from best to worse:

    4, 6, 8, 10, 9, 11, 7, 5, 3, 2, 1

I'd put FF X-2 at about 4-5th on that list, and Final Fantasy Tactics at about 2-3'rd.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to FF XII also. I enjoy 11 and play it online when I can, but it's not much.
