This is OT?
But yes, it did get reprinted as a GH title.
There was a copy of SotN along with a Parasite Eve on eBay a while back for like $17 BIN, opened, and the seller said they were non-GH...sort of odd that.
i see gh sealed copies of SOTN all the time for $15-20. Every gamerush i've been to has them for $15, and a couple game stores have them for $20.
Unless it's the original version, it's normal.
Gone.

I live in Minnesota and I've seen sealed GH copies for sale at GameStops here. I've seen lots of used GH copies too, but I've never seen a copy of the original new or used. The copy I have I found at a pawn shop in Canada. I also see lots of HoD and LoI used here.
The originals here go for at least $30 used w/o box or manual at gamestop or ebgames. I had to order a GH one from videogamedepot to get a reasonable price on a new one. The one's here weren't in very good condition.

I'm very happy with the one my friend found at gamestop for 25$. Non-GH and it was worth every penny I paid him for it. ;D
I wasn't previously aware SOTN was available in GH form. That's nice. Greater availability of a great game is always a good thing.
The Gamestop here sells SOTN for $30 used, GH or not. I was lucky enough to get a non GH disc used with jewel case and manual, plus when I looked at the bottom of the disc, I saw not a single scratch. I was very happy that day.
BTW, a non-GH sealed copy of SOTN sold for about $355 recently on Ebay, so if you have one of those, good for you
Why does it have such a high value if it went GH?Originally Posted by delafro

I have been seeing the original DBZ: Final Bout on ebay for 15 bucks would it be worth more than the reprint as well?
I think as a general rule non-GH versions are always a little bit more valuable and hard to find than GH versions.
I'm not sure what the rule is to qualify as a GH game, but even if there were a ton of originals of SOTN (which I don't think there are) they would get snapped up pretty quickly as this game has such great word of mouth. So for a game that now has such a high profile as SOTN the originals are worth a good bit more I think.
I thought it had to sell x amount of Copies in order to get greatsts hits status thats why i ask.
Apparantly i was wrong.
I think a game did have to sell a certain number of copies before it could go GH, but SOTN is such a good game that not too many people sell them, except for morons like me. I had a mint non GH, but sold it when I wasn't into games that much. Now all I have is a GH version.
I am borrowing a GH version from someone thats why i was so startled by the $355 figure.
I am going to be on the look out for this too now. Usually if a game goes GH i get it after something that didnt.
One of the non-GH versions has a bug that lets you get a higher percentage completed then normal. My non-GH doesn't have the bug though. I think that one of the non-Greatest Hits have a pamplet showing the pre-game artwork.
I got mine from a friend for $20 when the GH version was just coming out. He said that it'd be worth more than the GH, and you know what, he was right.
