    Default Sega Nomad battery pack

I just bought a Sega Nomad, and it has a battery pack hooked to the back. I was wondering how to remove this battery pack. It looks like I should just push it up in relation to the system and then just pull it out, but I am unable to push it up (I dont want to force it). Either it is just really hard to push up, or somebody did something really stupid and glued it in place or something (although I see no trace of glue). Any suggestions?

just checked for you, it just slides up about 1/4 inch and then its free. i suppose if you can open the battery case itself to put batts in theres really no need to take it off (and then lose it god forbid). i'm not certain but one would think that you could use the plug in power supply with the batt case still on the nomad.

Ya, I dont really NEED to take it off, but Ill probably be using it with the ac adapter anyway, so the battery pack is just extra weight/space that I dont want. The pack just doesnt want to slide in any direction at all, nor will it pull out. Any idea why this could be happening? I dont really want to force it any more than I already am.

Oh yeah, this uses the same power supply as the Genesis 2, right?

Ok, I got it off. I had to take a sharpening stone wrappen in a washcloth and then I set the unit upside-down on a table and hit the battery pack with the stone and after a couple of hits it fell to the ground. It looks like somebody may have spilled something sticky into the connectors, which locked it in place.

So, again I ask if this uses the same power supply as the Genesis 2.

Yep it's the same power supply as the Genny 2, the one with the yellow tip.
