    Default Where to get protos?

Where do you guys get prototypes? I know there isn't any single source. I'm a newbie to this kind of stuff, but I at least have common sense.

Yeah those are really the best ways. Your odds of finding one in the wild are not good (I've never found one), so you'll have to buy or trade for one. Ebay is your best bet, but prototypes on Ebay tend to get expensive. Networking and making contacts with other prototype collectors is also a way of getting prototypes. Many times collectors will sell their prototypes to raise money or trade prototypes for new ones. Be warned however that prototype collecting is EXPENSIVE! Prototypes of released games that are exactly the same in every way (review copies) will run you $50+, while unreleased games can go anywhere from $200 to $1000+.

Oh and before you ask, I don't have any extra protos for sale or trade. Sorry!

DC protos are rare as far as new protos go. Pre-production "silvers" are also out there but also rare.

Good luck with unreleased DC games. Unless you are prepared to write a big fat check I would stick with the released games.

I have no interest in betas of released games, unless they are significantly different than the final game.

jared, if you are going to collect only unreleased protos, you better be very patient and very rich.
