I haven't a clue but I would be interested in finding this out as well. I have a Super UFO and would like to use it - the Disk Drive is a bit unreliable...

Odd. Any sort of message when it crashed? Also, are you using a straight-through serial cable, or a crossover cable?
Maybe you have to convert to SWC format before trying to transfer. (--swc)
Also, are you using a power supply on your SWC? It doesn't need one normally for regular usage, but I think I read somewhere that it needed one to support a serial cable connection.
Does the super wild card support "super fx" games? I know my Multi game hunter doesn't.

Does anyone know anything about the Super UFO? I bought it ages ago and it's never really worked the way it's meant to. I dl'd Ucon64 but it doesn't support the UFO
Sorry to hijack the thread a bit...
dont worry about it, these things are a pain to set up as there is no info on the net at all for them!!Originally Posted by Pedro Lambrini

Well, the readme does say that it can convert to the UFO's file format.Originally Posted by Pedro Lambrini
I dont know if it matters, but some backup systems won't work on newer PCs due to timing issues. Example: a Multi Game Doctor 1's PC link will only work on a 386 or maybe 486 PC, and sometimes not at all with those. A newer device like the SWC7, that may not be an issue.
Also, perhaps the OS you are using may be an issue. Ucon64 is usually pretty good about that from what I understand, but with command lines in XP, you never know. Can anyone add to this? I haven't used Ucon64 much, so I don't know if this is ever an issue for certain backup devices.

Well there is some...the best place that I've seen is the Cherryroms forum. Most people are pretty helpful there. One dude in particular has been super-helpful to me. I actually ran into him on the tototek.com forum (which is pretty good too), but then I saw him in cherryroms too. I later saw him in another forum (forget which one, but he hangs in a lot of places, it seems). His name is Kyuusaku. That guy, as far as I can tell, knows EVERYTHING about every backup device ever (well maybe not, but I haven't seen him stumped yet). Really cool guy too. I really wish he hung around this forum...it's really hard to find experts on those devices.dont worry about it, these things are a pain to set up as there is no info on the net at all for them!!
Also, check out robwebb.clara.co.uk. It's a pretty informative site on backup units too, though a bit of the info is innacurate or incomplete, most of it is damn good.
