I´d say Sonic 2. I love the graphics, music and speed so much I could play it for ages and not get tired of it.

Same with River City Ransom, there are so much things to do, and beating the crap out of everyone never gets old.

And maybe Marble Madness, Super Mario Kart and few others

I try not to wear out games. It's easy to do, but I've found that getting rid of the "progress" mindset to some degree helps, and think about doing things better a second time around. This needs an example to be clear, and I have one! I've been playing DOOM III a bit the last few days, and in the power processing plant (with conveyors and such) I played through its entirety twice, and replayed bits a few times. I didn't get overly annoyed at doing things a second time and got to see some things I wouldn't have seen otherwise. I turned on the whatchamacallit system that makes you sprint jump a few times (ugh) and then sprint jump past rotating drums/poles discharging static electricity, while you're being assaulted by Imps (UGH!), and I know I don't want to do all that again...but hey, done it.

I really like story-based games the most, but it seems that despite my attempts not to overplay them, they DO get old. I wouldn't say I've worn out Zelda: Ocarina of Time, because I haven't played it in a few years. Thankfully "the mood" carries me most of the way

Other picks...I think I've worn out Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow a bit, but from here on out (hard mode) it's catching a dozen souls or so, catching multiple souls, leveling up, trying to get the proton gun again...yeah.

I've always got a soft spot for Space Harrier type games, and Burning Force is right up there.

I love Ninja Spirit - unfortunately I recorded the level one music from the arcade version last night and that's pretty much destroyed the music in the GB and especially PC-Engine versions for me
