    Default Nostalgia v4

A new version of the excellent Intellivision emulator for Windows has been released. Caption from the website:

"INTELLIVOICE!!! Yes, the Intellivoice is now supported! Drop in the ivoice.bin (or whatever yours in named) and listen to that sweet, sweet robitic voice."

Indeed great news! Get it here:

For one reason or another the website is VERY slow today. It's taking me 30 minutes to download the 1.1mb nostalgia setup file. I guess patience is a virtue!

It was losw yesterday as well. Actually, everything seemed a bit slow yesterday, so I assumed it was my connection somehow. I missed out on the CGCs... if they ever sell those again I'm all over it.

Same here. If he ever starts selling that adaptor again I will definitely be one of the first to grab one.

Sad news. Looks like the server was "crushed" today, so the author took down the emulator and the image scans. I'm glad I snagged the emulator when I did, although I'm sure it'll be back on the server as soon as things are fixed.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but since the Blue Sky Rangers formed Intelivision Productions Inc and released their own emulator with all the games they could get the rights to -- and DOES have support for Intelivoice -- could'nt they attack this if they wanted to? I know the emulator itself is legal, but I wonder about the Intelivoice technology, since unlike many other long dead systems the Intelivision emulator and games are being sold still.

Actually not at all, because the Intellivoice feature only works with the original Intellivoice BIOS file (ivoice.bin), so like the roms that you need to run the emulator, or the original INTV BIOS files you need, you will need this file as well to emulate the Intellivoice...none of which are included in the emulator.

So it's basicaly done just to show it can be done, and help those people too poor to buy the official one.

Okay, that's cool -- no problems with that. Still impressive. The BSR should hire him.
