I live in mid-michigan saginaw-baycity area.
DAMN!!! we MI folk have quite a large presence here!
I vote for the Game Works at Great Lakes Crossing, although from now till Christmas that place will be a frickin' zoo.
I've been to Dixieland in Pontiac once. I mostly saw 2600, NES, and Genesis stuff. One guy did have a bunch of 5200 games but I didn't have one at the time.
There's a couple open air flea markets in the Taylor/Romulus area that are open from spring to early fall. Flat Rock Speedway has a HUGE flea twice a year. Everyone there thinks their stuff is gold though. You can find a good deal if you look hard enough.
@ubersaurus: were you talking about Gibralter Trade Center??
Hey everyone!
ROBOTRON is from the very bowels of Detroit, MI....Ryan and 8 Mile...home of the infamous M&M rapper named after a bag of candy!
Ubersaurus and ROBOTRON hold down Detroit and Southgate untill the year "2084"!
Oh how many DP forum regulars are *not* from Michigan??? I'm betting about half of the regulars are Michigan.
Another day, another dollar... wake me when it's payday.
still playing games
It is because Michigan is just that good.

Tempest
yeah we do. any suggestions for when? we've had a few where's.
let's hear em'.
I vote for Gameworks/Great Lakes Crossing, sometime after christmas.
I host FNG "Friday Night Gaming" @ my house just about every Friday. A fun group of people who play classic as well as new games.
Maybe if you guys aren't afraid to dome to Detroit (Ryan rd. and 8 mile area near I-75) It would be great to meet cha! Ubersaurus is a regular guest at FNG....just ask him. Great time...great gaming (I have just about every system including Neo-Geo console w/40+ games) and I always order up great pizza! (Happys Pizza Rulez! Just ask Uber)
PEACE!
Oh I know!I have had it a few times, and it is good!Originally Posted by ROBOTRON

I'm not afraid as long as I don't have to drive down dark poorly marked streets. My best friend is in a band that plays in dives all the freaking time so I'm no stranger to the more questionable areas of Detroit.

Yeah, I've seen that stuff but I was strictly looking for stuff for the classic systems(pre-NES) I collect for. There are tables full of NES games last time I was there. I never look through them though. One of the last times I was there I saw a grocery bag full of INTV carts with the INTV corp late release end labels. I had never seen them before and didn't know enough about INTV to know what they were. Once I figured out what they were I went back and they were gone of course. I passed on a bag full of the INTV mail order releases like Diner etc.. > That hurt. If you're into the NES you may want to check out the pawn shops on Huron, West of Telegraph. I was in there years ago and they had TONS of NES carts piled up, waist high, on one side of a full isles length. They also had stacks of NES systems for $12 each.Originally Posted by Sega Hitman

They have several classics as well as pinball and all the new stuff.
Marvin's is great place (and not too far from me). I remember when that whole area was Tally Hall and Marvin's was a small little arcade in the middle (he still had those Chuckie Cheese robots though). Good times...

Well if anybody sets anything up,let me know!I will want to come, even if I am younger than all of you it seems...
It will have to be over the next month or two, since I move to NY mid-to-end of January. After that, I'll be hanging with the NYC crowd.
Look everyone else is copying us...

It's because we rule so damn much that they copy us! May as well have a roll call forum now ;p And I wouldn't look at her hiatus from michigan as an overly bad thing...it means we have a few months to try and catch up to her collection! Until, of course, she comes back with more stuff, but until then!Originally Posted by Achika
