Default super nintendo arcade machine question?

just pokin around ebay i ran into one of these

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...128392084&rd=1

for starters i had never seen or heard of this, but i was just curious, did they make them hold any diff number of games, like say a neo geo machine

and does it take standard snes carts? anyone got pics of the inside of one of these, they seem really cool

also are the controllers detachable or do they sit there attatched to where they are?

This is the only info I have on it:

    http://snescentral.edgeemu.com/rarit...tem/index.html

Basically, it is a Snes with time limited versions of games.
<Evan_G> i keep my games in an inaccessable crate where i can't play them

I think I remember that thing being pictured in an old Nintendo Power round the time when the SNES was hittin' the states. Looks cool, but those controlers look ackward.

Controls are horrible to use and tend to break since they are a molded cheap plastic. It is a real arcade game and not a homebrew. I owned one about a few years back and it now sits in my roommate's storage building. Every one I have ever seen has had only those 3 games in it tho I have heard there are other games for it. It doesn't take regular carts.

Here's the KLOV listing for it:

    http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?...N&game_id=8894

Talk about a flashback - I remember playing one of these in the early 90's. I have also heard of (an seen on eBay occasionally) standard SNES systems wired up for JAMMA output. So basically you could put any SNES cart in the machine and play it using the arcade monitor and controls. Of course, I can't find any info on it right now...

Ok found some stuff in the newsgroups:

Here's the whole post. Pretty neat stuff.

I think the problem with the Arcade "snes" Controllers is that they were to big, But to me there very solid and would take a beating! and still be good to go!..

I remember laughing, when i first played SWM with of of those big ass controllers! .. It was like i was a baby again and the controller was just too big to hold, Compared to a regular snes controller.

If i had the chance, i'd buy one of those Snes Arcade units, in a heart beat, But i'm in the UK so it's outta the question, (I only got a chance to play it in a local arcade here in the UK)

I keep thinkin, surely more of these units, must have made it to UK shores?

These pictures are a lot better than the ones of the unit on eBay a week ago...thanks!

The picture of the guy with the controller as a nightvision system cracks me up...might work if he's an Imp from DOOM III, say

Wierdest of all, though, is the item's location... E-Town, Pennsylvania?!
