    Default Nitnendo Store Display Sign

    Sorry no picture...

So the store I work at (Farm and Fleet) sold the last of its Game Boy Advance games a few months ago and they had this sign sitting in their warehouse. They were going to throw it away, but I asked for it and they gave it to me .

Basically all it is is "2" Nintendo signs (Nintendo Red Oval Logo) Glued together with two slits going through the center so that retractable hooks can be pulled out.

I think its pretty neat at least (first non-game-toy thing related to games Ive managed to get a hold of), but is it worth anything by any chance?? (not that I'd sell it... just wondering)

No, no collector would pay anything for it =P

There's a market for these things, but it's a market easily manipulated by selling these during a period when none have shown up on eBay for a long time, emotions running high, etc.

I was always partial to this sign I saved:

A lot of the old signs like this can command pretty decent $ on eBay for those willing to part with these old treasures, but like the last post said they tend to fluctuate quite a bit. Right now on eBay there's an auction for a $500 neon "World of Nintendo" sign... No bids yet, but you never know... I'm not bidding.

[Remembers the giant golden World sign he missed out on because of a damn mother fucking sniper.]

One day I shall get my sign!

I have that sign. To me, that is the BEST nintendo sign you can have.
(I searched for the one you were talking about but couldn't find it on ebay)

There is an old family run video rental place that I drive past whenever im going from college to home so one day I thought to stop and low and behold they had older games all complete. But Genesis, NES, snes were 15 bucks. So I didnt buy any games but they had a sign of Mario riding Yoshi and one that just said super nintendo I fell in love with Mario riding Yoshi and asked what he wanted to do with it and said he'd sell it for 40 bucks. *shutters* I eventually got it for 15 because I said it wasnt worth 40 and told him you can get them off the net cheaper he then told me to go buy it off the internet if it was cheaper. Then I just had 4 or 5 of my friends to go on and offer lower prices on different days one day he gave into a friend for 15 and now its mine. I dont know how the idea worked but it did eventually so Kudos to Mario and Yoshi haning up on my wall.

Lol, he was actually right...but oh well...guess he wanted that pocket change more than he wanted to spend time making sure he knew what it was worth.

Any idea on the age of the sign? I'd say go back and buy the other sign, but you probably won't be welcome back there, plus I hope he's wisened up by now...

It's cool, but when all is said and done, I'd rather spend that cash on a GAME!!!

Aye...preferably something for the Neo Geo if we're talking about that much money!

Nothing screams "security blanket" (i.e. "I have no life and don't want to taint my soul playing Sega or...SONY games!) than the guy who's got only Mario games on his shelf and has a huge Mario store sign taking up one whole wall of his room.

Of course, it would be absurd to assume such a person exists...right?

    (waits for the flames)

Here's the linkie. Completely overpriced, but it may be interesting to see if it does in fact sell for that.

THANKS ALOT!! I searched "Nintendo Sign" earlier and it didn't show up. Is the auction ended, there is NO dates on it. I mean start and end times. (Now that I think about it it might have been in that person ebay store)

Anyways, yeah that's the sign I have. In my opinion that is the best Nintendo sign out there, BY FAR. I was lucky enough to get mine about one year ago for around $100, I think it was.

I could see $100 to an extent, but $500... That would be interesting. =)

I would pay around $150-200 for the neon one that's on ebay right now, but definatley not $500. You got yourself a very good deal at $100. Right now I am looking for any old NES promotional stuff, and these signs are the cream of the crop.

I would pay $300 for that sign...but when you're considering that shipping has to be huge for it as well...and needs a place to go...eh.

Now that I looked at the link, I remember seeing those in the stores back in the day. 500 is WAY too steep, but I would go as high as 200 for something like that. It always brought a smile to my face if I walked into a store and saw that sign. Jive3D goes runnin!
