Default Are Cell Phone games coming out too quickly or what?

I never use my cell phone, unless it's an emegency...but I was curious about the download features it has.

Here's what I see on my Verizon Wireless line up

    Samurai Shodown
    Metal Slug
    1942
    CastleVania 1 from NES
    Gauntlet
    KOF
    Puzzle Bobble
    Double Dragon
    Ghosts & Goblins
    Commando
    Lode Runner
    Burger Time
    Arkanoid
    Pit Fall
    Q Bert
    Crash Bandicoot Nirto Kart
Tony Hawk Underground 1 and 2
    Pac-Man Bowling
    Sega Monkey Ball Bowling

How many more am I not aware of and how fast are these games being produced? It's kinda impressive, but I notice the price of these games are like $5.99 to $7.99 a pop just to order which is sad I think
These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!

I have a question about these, and keep in mind I know next to nothing about cell phone gaming. Do you get to actually "keep" these games? That is, say I pay/download some games, can you pull them out of the phone to the PC for archiving?

I'm developing mobile games myself, and usually a game takes 1 to 3 months to develop, thus they can be released very quickly. The games are mostly crap though ;) The company I work for is the first one to start releasing games in boxes, which you can buy in stores, so here's something with collecting potential :D

I think that $5.99 - $7.99 per game is reasonable. Look at Nontendo for instance, they charge $20=$30 for older games ported to the GBA.

While I don't have a cell phone that plays games I would think that any data that you have on your phone should be downloadable to your PC with a USB data cable. I have one for my phone and it (along with a cool freeware program called Bitpim lets me upload my own customized ringers rather than having to pay Verizon a buck each for theirs.

Do a search on the web for your phone model + data cable.

It's RIDICULOUSLY overpriced, but I finally did buy pitfall just because my phone had NO games, and I needed to play stuff a couple times.

Yes, you download the game, and keep it forever, and can play offline.

IMO, not worth it, I barely EVER play anything on my cel phone, and the controls are so BAD that I don't think I've ever lasted more than 5 minutes on pitfall.
