Default Is DragonballZ GT Final Bout still rare?

Did Bandai do a second run? This title used to be rare but recently I have picked up two copies from Target for $9.99 and there are a few at my local Circuit City for $14.99. Whats the deal?

EDIT: I should say that I am talking about the US PS1 version.
if you can read this congratulations!! you can read

Yes, there was a rerelease by Atari a month or two back. The MSRP is $15.

The artwork on the Atari version is different than the Bandai version.

They rereleased it. Now on EBay even the original is going for a reasonable price. All I can say is HAHA.

The game was re-released by Atari a few months back. I would imagine that the "first" edition would still be considered valuable, rare, etc... so I'd pass on the ones at Circuit City.

I was checking it out on eBay just a little while ago. Complete copies of the first print run weren't even pulling in 40 bucks. Sad for those who spent a ton on it. I imagine the re-release wasn't produced in massive quantities either, so it would probably be wise to pick one up relatively soon if you're interested in having it. Regardless, I don't think it's ever going to match the prices it was pulling before the re-release.

According to the December issue of Official PlayStation Magazine, Dragon Ball GT was the #1 seller at EB. Whether this means 5000, 500, or 50 copies sold, there's no indication.

Well Collectors will differentiate between the two in the long run [like the original release and the telegames re-release of a lot of colecovision games], but the value of the first run will probably never be the same, since now it will only be collectors after it. Anyone who just wants to play the game would just by the much more common re-release.

Of course, I could be wrong. Stadium events is worth a lot today, even though the game was re-released as a pack in with Mario / Duckhunt on every NES...

I suppose that for just for the PSone? I can imagine that it is the best-selliing PSone game as there isn't much else new out there.

    Cheers

I found a complete copy of the first edition for QoF about 2 months ago for $58 so that wasn't TOO bad at least... she's happy at least

I liked being able to level up my fighter in one of the modes, but thats about it.

No, it's hardly playable at all. I remember renting the game when the it was first released a few years ago and being disgusted that I had paid 5 bucks to rent it.

It's great for DBZ fans. I saw 8+ copied at Best Buy earlier today for $15 each. But I like the cartoon. Tried to get into this one, play sucks. DBZ Legends controls better, and is mildly interesting as far as gameplay goes, but still does not hold my attn for long. The only DBZ game that I have enjoyed is Legacy of Goku II on GBA, they did a very good job of mimicking the television show, particularly the music.

Yup, I forgot to include that disclaimer, though it's probably not really needed.

I see the original Bandai version getting back up in price in the future. This Atari version is only going to drop the originals price for awhile. Just a slump in my opinion.
