Just wondering if it was worth the fifty clams?? Reviews have been okay for the game, wanted to see if anyone had some firsthand experience.
BTW, I am a Tolkien nut.

My friend bought it so I watched maybe an hour or two of him playing it. First thing that comes to mind when trying to describe it is definitely arcade-ish RPG. It has some decent graphics and a lot of different special moves that your characters learn, but it just seemed really easy. There are a ton of chests lying around where you usually get your potions and stuff, but so far my friend has barely even used any of that stuff. It did seem like it would take him awhile to beat the game, since after playing it for maybe 5 hours he was only like 10% complete. I'm not sure if that percentage also accounts for the "Evil Mode" but I'm guessing it does.
Overall, I wouldn't suggest it to a regular RPG fan who doesn't care if it has anything to do with LotR or not because the story seemed very un-involved...but for a fan of the movies it's "ok". Definitely nothing spectacular tho.
I didn't actually play the game myself tho, plus I'm not much of an RPG player (can count them on one hand)...so my opinion could really be off of the popular consensus.
