    Default Microvision

I just picked up one of these boxed with 4 games. It doesn't seem to work right though, since the screen is all washed out. I've tried the knob on the back of the system that adjusts the contrast, but it doesn't help very much. Does anyone else on the boards have one of these?

BTW, these were the games I got.

    Blockbuster (pack-in game)
    Mind Buster (complete)
    Connect Four (complete)
Phaser Strike (factory sealed, not the Star Strek version)

Yeah, you'll find that lots of people here own one. In fact, we had a similar (short) conversation about Microvision not long ago:

It's like the RCA Studio II to me: very bad but SO retro that it has become an interesting conversation piece. Definitely something you want to share with your local gaming buds.

    Have fun with it!

Damn, sounds like mine has a case of screen rot.

Oh well, I didn't pay much for it.

I have found that I need to adjust the screen for every game, and still some games just don't display very well. The screen just doesn't seem to be able to handle movement. Static images are OK, but when they start moving it goes down hill really fast.

Dispite the unit's limitations, I still found myself oddly drawn to Baseball. I think the paddle controller works really well for it. I'd love to see a little paddle knob on a next-gen controller.
