    That's actually a really sweet way to get publicity for a good cause. Cedar Point started doing this with Millenium Force a while back (auctioning off the first rides on it) and it gained them a lot of positive coverage and it didn't cost them a thing.

    It's cool to see it happening in gaming.

    Umm.... It doesn't SAY so, but I hope they're auctioning GAMES with this, otherwise you're just paying for the privilage of staring at the thing for a week. It's nice to see Sony doing something for charity though.

    i like how the units that are going to be sold at auction are different than the retail ones. makes them special

    BUT HOW LONG UNTIL SOMEONE SELLS IT ON EBAY? customized with SOMEONE ELSES NAME!
