    Default ZORK walkthrough?

Where can I get a walkthrough for Zork? I've fallen and can't get up.

I am proud to say that back in the day , My brother, friend (Chris Breault) and I spent one entire summer playing ZORK on our Apple II and we actually completed it without any cheats ,hints or help. There was no internet for us to go to gamefaqs.com. The hardest part was performing the exorcism. We had maps to get around and by the end had the whole area memorized. I remember when we finally killed the Thief too, man that really brings back some memories. Those were really the good old days

Yeah the exorcism is hard, especially if you don't remember to turn the page in the book first. I always thought the hardest part of Zork I was the maze! That took me forever to map!

Of course Zork I's difficulty pales in comparison to SpellBreaker. Now that game was HARD! Zork III wasn't far behind.

I had the most problems with Zork 1.

I got stuck on the pot of gold. With all other treasures there was some hint or reasoning it was just a matter of how to do or word it right.

But not with the pot of gold. No they just expected you to walk to the end of the rainbow with the sceptre (a treasure which was usually put in the trophey case ASAP) and wave it. The only hint was if you happened to wave the sceptre elsewhere a rainbow appeared. Only after I played the classic Adventure and discovered that waving the sceptre causes a bridge to appear over the chasm did I understand why anyone would think to wave to a scepetre in Zork.

By the time I got to Zork 3 I was a pro. I beat that one with no help at all. The more adventures you played the easier they became.

Now the Scott Addams Savage Island series was tough but it also didn't make alot of sense. Part 2 was just impossible. You had to "breathe out" and then "Hyperventilate" to even start to play.

Hyperventilate, yeah there is a word I had used often before in Scott Adams 100 word vocabulary adventures.
