    Where are the DS Cases?

Is it just me or are cases to hold your DS system few and far between? Right now I am carrying around mine in a PDA case from Caselogic. I see all the ones at lik-sang won't be available till early december. I definitely don't want a madcatz(unless its good). Anybody got any suggestions.

I've only seen one case type in US shops here. I think most of those online will be part of the stock released on the 2nd Dec when the Japanese launch is go...

Well, I've found out that my DS fits pefectly inside my cloth GBA case. As for the DS cards, I can fit 3 cards into one ORIGINAL game boy plastic cartridge case....which goes into the back part of my cloth GBA case.

Yeah, I'll be damned if I buy a new case when my old one works fine!

I'll only buy a case for my DS if it can hold 10 GBA games and 20-30 DS games as well as the AC adapter and the system itself. Maybe if they make one of those metal suitcase types.

I'd like to see a DS card holder that was like those Digital Camera card wallets.

Damn, I got impatient when all I saw in the store was the Mad Catz one so I bought it...what a waste of money. It barely even fits the system in there...and I do mean barely. I was surprised I didn't see the Nintendo ones, but now I know they are out. Guess I'll have to buy a second case. :/

Thanks for the info. I knew madcatz would be a no go. Looks like I am going the ebay way.

I can't believe people still buy MacCatz. Even worse is how EB swears by them. If that tells you anything about EB.

I'm using my plush GBA gamestop - brand case. It's really soft and has a zipper at the top and a mesh pocket on the outside, perfect for a few DS game cards.

It's just a tad bit small, but it does fot the system with a little bit of stretching.

Mad Catz are good for Xbox Microcon controllers, for people who's hands are still too small for the S controller.

Target carries the Nintendo ones for $10-20

Nintendo has at least 2 official cases out--one of them I saw in Target and bought for $9.99, the other I haven't seen in a store but know it does exist. I'm not getting that case that I bought until Hanukah, though, so right now I'm using an older GBA/SP case. My DS fits snugly into it, but the games are oddly stuck under some elastic bands that used to hold GBA games.
    Egbert, I miss you...

I've been using my orginial wide GBA (not GBA SP) case to hold my DS. Works pretty good but doesnt completely close (velcro straps), I'll have to get a new case.

I found this one at Best Buy for $17.99. It has individual slots for DS games, a space for the charger, etc.

Which is the one I got (though in grey). Room for the games, but the slot for the DS is very tight (have problems getting the unit in and out). Will see if any of those available from Japan are better.

I hit Software Etc today and got a metal suitcase type case designed for the DS made by Intec. Very good case! Nice and solid, and padded well. Has a little fishnet thing in the top lid section for some games as well. I wasn't really interested in storing games in the case, but rather just keeping the system safe. It's $11.99 and fits the system just perfectly.

I have the GBA SP version of that. I'll have to see what exactly I can put in it.

The problem with these cases is that they never hold anywhere near enough cartridges for those of us who tend to accumulate a LOT of games. My 65+ GBA collection outgrew my official Nintendo case long ago. Heh. And good luck finding something that will house over 100 GB/GBC carts. Right now they're housed in a zippered lunch cooler that's almost bursting at the seams.

These DS cards are really small, though, so there's no excuse for not producing a case that can hold a good 50 or so.
