Default Looking for a place or person to mod my Atari

I have seen various places on the internet showing mods for their Atari 2600 to AV our and/or S-video. Is there anyone on this site that does this? I went to Atari 2600.com and apprear to be sold out. Any help would be appreciated!

What's the sense in doing that? Will modding a 2600 to accept A/V and/or S-Video outputs really make a significant difference in picture quality?

Aside from improving picture and sound (which this mod will do) there's also a practical factor to consider. No more fiddling around with RF boxes or coaxial adaptors which all have to be hooked up behind the TV. Front A/V inputs are pretty standard on all new TV's and VCR's. So modding your 2600 as such pretty much enables you to take it anywhere. I modded one of my 2600 Jr's for A/V last year and haven't looked back.

The incomparable Ben Heckendorn had a very simple procedure to follow for this mod on his website, which is what I used. It doesn't seem to be up there now. Guess you'll have to buy his forthcoming book
