I'm pretty sure that this is now known as "Puppy Times". Looks cute!
Egbert, I miss you...
I like how much it uses the touch screen, don't get me wrong. But it doesn't look like a game that will hold my attention for any longer then a week. Its just a more advanced tamagatchi. If you can train them to compete in dog shows, I might be intrested.
Somebody make me a "CGE 2k7 Attendee banner" so I don't have to use this lame text
It does look interesting... You can teach the dogs tricks, and have them perform them by talking into the microphone, but like MarioAllStar2600 said, unless there's some depth into it, I'm not too interested.
i heard somewhere that this is a tech demo... please say there lying
That game looks horrible. haha
Well, its first public showing was at E32k4, but it was a tech demo then. It as become a full-scale game since.Originally Posted by muffinman943

Fire Dogs SNES goes to DS? (Second thought after reading the title - first was "Nintendo GS Whaaa?")
I like this title.
I also like many of the other "Tech Demo's" they had at E3. Many look kick ass. I hope they all make their way to the DS in some form or another.
awww. they're cute. wonder if its gonna be a good game.

It'll be a nice collectable at least. So what if it's a sort of advanced virtual pet? It's nice looking and far cooler than a Tomagotchi..
that game looks so...soo...soo.. GAY!
would be interesting if they made is as involved as Seaman, but not as strict. If it's simply playing with them, then yeah, might get old quick. But, I'm a sucked for cure animals, I just wish it was NintenCats instead, but Dogs are cool too.
Or Maybe NintenFish! NintenIgauna! NintenHampsters!
Yeah, if it were like Sea-Man where they're born and grow up, it'd be interesting. Either way, I'll buy it on uniqueness alone.
Time to bump this up... I dunno how the game will be released here, but in Japan, there are 3 different Nintendogs packs with different dogs.
Here's the different sets:
1. Dachshund set:
Dachshund
Pugs
Yorkshire Terriers
Miniature Schnauzers
German Shepherds
2. Chihuahua set:
Chihuahua
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels
Labradors
Beagles
Shih Tzu
3. Shiba set:
Shiba
Shetland Sheepdogs
Welsh Corgies
Toy Poodles
Miniature Pinshers
It's not known yet what differences there will be in terms of breeds for the North American release, but most of these breeds are sure to make it here. I'd probably pick up the Dachshund set because of the schnauzer (which looks a bit like my late dog Zappa, who was a bouvier des Flandres).
And obviously, no particularly big breeds available. I wish there was a "big dogs" set as well. That'd be fun.
As much as I don't think that this game looks that interesting, it did get a perfect score in Famitsu magazine in Japan, which is quite a feat, to say the least!
BTW, it is believed that the NA version won't be released in separate sets, but rather have some dogs as unlockables instead. Of course, it's mostly speculation...
I think that this is definitely one of those innovative titles that makes the DS look like it could be very slick. This is the reason that I am happy that Nintendo is still around as a first party publisher -- I don't think any other company would've taken a risk on such a risky, stupid looking idea. By the replies in this thread, half of us think it looks awesome and the other half think it looks about as dumb as it can be, but those half that are interested by it will remember it as a possible DS future purchase.
Innovation is the bringer of more hardware sales. Nintendo needs more of these for the DS to continue to excell, but I think this looks pretty interesting.

I've read a (german) review of some gamer and it looks that it really deserves the perfect famicom score.
He claims that it is really unique in terms of gameplay and it uses the DSs capilities perfectly.A true masterpiece from Shigeru Miyamoto.
