    Default Paypal.....Confirmed/Unconfirmed Address BS

Why is it when I pay with Paypal it says I have an unconfirmed address 50% of the time? I re-recheck my account and it says I am confirmed. Then I make a payment and it says I'm unconfirmed.

This is really getting to me and I thought I'd check if anyone else is having this problem before I waste a week trying to ask Paypal.

I hate to ship to an unconfirmed address (because you lose your rights as a seller) but I just don't trust Paypal on this issue.

I have a confirmed account (verified) and an unconfermed addy, they want your credit card info. IIRC.

I have a verified account too, and a verified shipping address.
They have my Bank and Credit Card info.

But when I pay for an auction, 50% of the time it says I have an
unverified address when they send out the payment email.
    Sometimes verified and sometime not.
And my address is verified when I go to my account.

I'm not yelling at you FireTiger but at Paypal

Edit: I was using verified when I meant confirmed.
Bottom Line: I have a Verified account with a confirmed address.
But when I pay for an auction it doesn't always say I'm confirmed.

I think I'm even confusing myself here

You can't even verify your address if you live in Australia =/

It's really annoying when I want to buy something in America, for example, and a seller won't sell to me even though I have 100% positive feedback.

For some reason, I have had this problem lately also. It only happens when I try to send payment using the Ebay checkout process. When I go to checkout (using the "pay now" button on the auction itself), Ebay lists several addresses I have on my Ebay account. The one that I have confirmed through Paypal is marked "confirmed" on this screen. However, if I select this address and make a payment, it isn't showing as confirmed on the payment. I even had one seller tell me that it was showing me as unverified also, which is odd since I have been verified for years.

For now, I have been manually sending payment through Paypal instead of using Ebay checkout.

I have a similar problem. My confirmed address is my P.O. Box. So when I see auctions that say, "will only send to confirmed addresses, will not send to p.o. boxes", I'm basically screwed.

I've been having the same sort of problems lately, but only when I try to use Paypal through the tigerdirect web site. My account and address are both listed as "confirmed" when I start out, but when I go to the "pay" button, it suddenly says that my address is not confirmed.

So far, every time a seller has "required" a confirmed address and I wanted to use a non-confirmed address, they accepted the payment. I simply sent them an email asking if it was ok and for them to check out my Ebay feedback and Paypal verified transactions number.

I've had this problem too. So far I haven't encountered any must-buy deals that require confirmed address but if I'd win one and the seller would refuse to ship because of this I'd be terrible pissed.

I had this problem but I seem to have fixed it....In my paypal account it had for some reason had many different versions of my address in variations. Like: case sensitive differences and BS like that. I deleted all of the improper versions of my account info and set the correct one as default. Haven't had a problem since.

Same goes for Canada. It just doesn't matter if my feedback is 100% positive, some just wont ship unless the address is verified.

I have a Canadian Paypal account and the address is verified. They started verifying Canadian addresses quite some time ago.

One thing that was a pain in the ass for me was when I moved to Canada. I had a US account, verified, with hundreds of reputation points. Then I moved to Canada and found out that they have no way to add a Canadian address to a US account. Even worse, they have no way of migrating your US account to a Canadian account. Even worse still, you can't have one credit card on multiple Paypal accounts. I only have one credit card, so I had to delete my Paypal account (losing all my online records and reputation) and create a new Canadian one from scratch. At that time, there was no way to verify Canadian addresses so I was stuck as unverified for months until they added the ability. That sucked.

    i don't keep c/card # with my Paypal.
I enter the number when I use and remove afterwards...

for address living in Australia I can't get it confirmed but I don't really care nor 99% of sellers I encounter as they know with people outside USA confirmed address is just myth... :/

Hey, you're right. I just logged on to PayPal and it reads my member status is verified. Don't know how long it's been that way, but it's funny how I never noticed.

    Sweet!
