Default How many eBay rules can you flout in one auction?

(Note: people who list like this are no skin off my nose; this is just for fun, OK? )

OK, let's start with two - keyword spamming and false postage amount.
    Who can find more?

Just for fun, I reported this listing to Ebay. Let's see how long they take to cancel it.

The question that the auction brings to my mind is "why does everything in England have to have "royal" in it?". Does the queen hand deliver it?

What the hell's pounds sterling? Is that the same as cash? Or just a fancy way to say pounds?

It's the proper way of saying Pounds...not as if they've got their currency tied to sterling silver anymore. Bit of an anachronism I think.

I think it's the wrong way to refer to pounds now, as the pound hasn't been linked to specie in quite some time.

maybe this auction weighs 2 pounds like that stick auction a few posts up. he probably just wants to send you a few bricks to get started on a new house or something

'Pounds sterling' is a way of specifying that you are talking about UK currency, since some other countires also use 'pounds' which are not the same. Furthermore it identifies that you are talking about pounds currency, rather than pounds in weight. It's not often, but sometimes the context can be ambiguous.

And yes, it originates from the link in value to 'sterling sliver' but as we all know, the origin of many words has very little relevance to the actual meaning. This is now one of them.

The "royal" means that the queen has control or owns the thing or service. In Canada, there are many "crown" coroporations, such as the CBC. I believe the Queen still gets royalties from the Hudson Bay Company, as another example.
