    Default So...anyone planning on getting a V.Smile?

I ask this because I wanted to know your guys' opinions on this. It seems to have blurred the line between "video game console" and "educational toy".

Myself, I'll probably pick one up used. I'm not in a big hurry to get one, and I have a younger nephew who will probably get one for Christmas (giving his older uncle ample time to test it out. )

By the way, if you plan on getting one new, good luck. They're selling out faster than beer on Happy Hour.

Nah, I wouldn't classify it as a real console. I bet the "games" are horrible, anyway.

What is this V.Smile of which you speak?
I can't say I've seen covered in the game press.

It better be cooler than a Pico!

You can go to www.vtech.com and learn about it. Basically, it's a console made for little kids, with educational games.

Cute. It almost looks like something that would exist in Mario Land or something.
Hey - do you think the term "smartridge" will catch on?

Why did you capitalize Christmas and Son, but not mom?

They actualyl got some decent licenses for this, like Spiderman. For a "learning system" the games aren't totally awful, if your 4 . You can test em out on the site.

I've seen commercials for this thing for weeks now. From the looks of it, it probally costs $50-$70. And at least $10-$20 for the games.

I think it looks like a great system for kids. Most of the systems have moved away from making any kind of kid friendly games so maybe it really does need its own console. I won't be getting one but I think its a good idea and would get one if I had a kid.

hey dude, you do that while training some kind of martial arts, emporing all your energy on the stomach, and then pass it on to your hands, the hard part is trowing it at a direction, i can't do it for gods sakes.

Was going to but ended up getting an interactv - it looks like a pretty dumb system to be honest, my son is three and already has fun with my real consoles.

I'm shooting this as a future rarity. It will have 20 games at most, and each will probably be in the R6 and above section, going for excess of $50. The console itself will probably shoot up there with select-a-game.
