Default Want a Playstation Debug unit for 65 dollars?

I THINK (don't quote me on this) that they play CDRs, Imports, and just about everything else. Am I correct? I thought that for 65 dollars it would be worth it even if I was wrong, so I grabbed one.

P.S. These are from the Acclaim auction, the seller has a ton of stuff for sale from it.

    10 of them also....

Seems like a good deal. Can it really play imports and copies and is this a good value? I'm seriously tempted.

Heh he must have a whole stockpile. He has others for sale around 35 dollars that are missing the Playstation logo on the top of the system. Personally these are fine for me, I'm not super picky, especially when it comes to stuff like this, as the carving into the systems was done by the company. To me that just adds to the history of the item, making it more valuable to me personally. I have a question though, whats the black knob thing in the upper right corner of the system?

I guess that makes sense, especially with the ugly metal ones.

    I considered buying one, but:

    1) No shipping price (I did ask)

    2) 2.5% "handling fee" if I use Paypal from my checking account? BS.

If you look at that guys feedback he's pretty rude to people who gave him negative feedback...calling people idiots and bitches, etc.

    I'll pass.

    1) I believe he ships FedEx and does not screw you on shipping.

    2) Yep that sucks, but he's doing it to everyone, even the long time regulars on Assembler. Problem is if you're a premiere member they take the % no matter where the money comes from.

assembler is ok, although some people here dont seem to like him.
he bought LOTS of stuff from acclaim nyc a few days ago in an auction, thats why he sells for so low.
from what i know, some of his stuff was stolen before he could get it home.
    a sad story, really.

I went through the auction a couple of times, found nothing stating if these units actually work or not. Did I miss something?

I've no problems with Assembler, but this line caught my attention: "International users add 5% to total including shipping for currency fees".

Paypal don't charge for currency conversion (I can send $ just as easily as £ or €), so whats that all about?

I believe they do charge for currency conversion as I won something from someone in GB, and paid via paypal. They ended up taking more than any quoted conversion rate from any site I've seen (i.e xe, oanda)..therefore they took out conversion fees. Yes, it's Teh SuxOrS

That 2.5% handling fee comes out to a pretty petty $1.63.

According to someone else here this unit is under-priced at $65 to begin with. I bet it's still so even with the $1.63 added.
