Default Quit your idol worship! (yes it's video game related, silly)

I have been a NES fanboy since back in the day.... one day my brother brought home a Genesis I though "A sega system?! How dare he!" I pre-judged the system and LITERALLY made myself hate it. Well a while back I purchased a SMS and a couple OKAY games.
Well saturday I went to my weekly flea market visit and bought a few games like Double Dragon, Wonder Boy 3 and Phantasy Star.
My jaw dropped in awe of how much better the Double Dragon for SMS is than the NES version.
The same can be said about the Genesis, Saturn and Sega CD.
All you Nintendo fan boys will have to give in sooner or later.

Well.. I am totally unbiased (usually) . And as a person who had both systems in their day, and bought BOTH NES & SMS Double Dragons at full price..(yeah I was a freak). SMS DD was more faithful, but I totally preferred NES DD. Why? It was just more fun! SMS simply didn't have the power to do the arcade game justice, and while you were playing it, you were constantly reminded of that fact by the slippery gameplay which...uhh.. wasn't that great. The NES DD, while not a great arcade port, did well by the systems capabilities and made for a good solid early beat-em-up with good gameplay to boot.

Actually I have an old EGM where they put SMS and NES Double Dragon head to head! I forgot who won though.. I think sms did? I should dig it out :P

He probably means that NEITHER system had the power do the arcade game justice, but he was talking about SMS so the sentence appears in that context.

At least that's the way I read it.

Also it's a good sign that you're heading down the uber-collector path when you can drop your biased opinions about certain systems. I mean they really all have something to offer, even if it's just in terms of things to laugh about years later (like the RCA Studio II, a constant source of hilarity in my household).
