AR on PS ?

there is dip switch and manual doesn't mention what this one is for...

there is a serial (i think its serial) serial port on the back of early PS models, remove the flap and plug it in, it should boot directly when u turn on the playstation!

yes it works on that port.
I was curious about the dip switch setting though as no mention was given in the manual...

ah sorry, i think the switch is to activate/deactivate cheats once the game has loaded!

also if u own Final Fantasy 7 check out the cheat to go in the debug room, thats quite good!

more than likely the dip switch is used for either booting with the action replay or basicly turning it off

Yup. It can also be used to enable or disable entered codes during gameplay.

Up - activated
Down - disabled

If you turn on the Playstation with the AR disabled, it'll boot straight into the game with no codes.
