    Default Sega Mark III

    Warning: Noob question following:

Is there anything else that Mk III games play on?
Will they work on a US Master system?
Or can I get an adaptor?
Or do I have to buy an Mk III?

First ever adapter? So that means no Power Base Converter for the Japanese Mega Drive? Uh...that's not right.

Looks like a sweet piece of hardware though.

That adaptor above is also available straight from Tototek with a casing on it. It'll only play Mark III cart games, not My Cards or SG1000 games.

The Mega Adaptor (Japanese version of the Power Base Convertor) will play Mark III cards and carts on any region Genesis/Mega Drive, but again no SG1000 games. They can be pretty pricey aswell.

There has been a home-made adaptor to play Western SMS carts on a Japanese systm, but not yet the other way around (I think). The Dev forum at SMSPower should contan more details..
