    Default About Duke Nukem 3D...

Is there any way to disable the "spring to center" option while looking up and down? Also I don't turn that quickly and I maxed out the mouse sensitivity. Is there a way to increase the mouse sensitivity even more?

Well for the PC Controls, that's as high as it will go for mouse sensitivity.

As for disabling the spring back look, I normally don't touch "end" or "home" on the keyboard to make sure that doesn't happen, plus if you press "U" on the keyboard, that will toggle mouse look for better aim

Aren't there fancy new source ports of the Duke 3D engine?

I think there is. I just trick Windows 2000 to think it's a Windows 95. That'z how Duke Nukem runs on my PC with no problem.

I changed the title of the thread to "About Duke Nukem 3D". Anyways, the pig cops look a bit weird in 3D. What'z the difference between Atomic version and the regular version of Duke Nukem 3D?

Atomic Edition has an extra 4th episode, a few new enemies and boss, and a new "microwave" enhancement for the Shrink-Ray.

The Microwave Ray basically makes the bad guys expand and grow untill they explode with guts flying all over.

Atomic Ed's new "episode" includes the pirate ship, right? Meh, D.C. was better, and THAT wasn't very inspired.

Don't forget the numerous parodies in this episode as well

"Impossible Mission" "This tape will self-destruction in 5 seconds"

"Going Postal"- Early 90's scare of the post men going crazy

"Pigsty"- Duke quotes every single cop movie....Dirty Harry, Die Hard, Leathal Weapon, etc.

Yes, I remember that stuff as well. Doesn't make up for rather unmemorable (at times, downright shoddy) level design, though. The guys in chains on the pirate ship had me wierded out, too.

Babe Land was the name of it...now I remember...it was decent I thought...ripping off the old "Pirates of the Carribean" ride from Disney

My understanding is that the Atomic Edition is just the enhancements from the Plutonium Pak.

(Also as I recall, the regular registered version of Duke 3D and the Duke Nukem Kill-a-Ton Collection both came with the full registered versions of Duke 1 and Duke 2, but the Atomic Edition did not.)

This is true. Atomic Edition did include a full instrumental version of the Duke Nukem theme song however.

Duke 3D also had some game demos and early screenshots of both "Blood" and "Shadow Warrior" on it. One of the demos, a racing game which the name i forgot, has Duke as a selectable character.

    Death Rally, right?

There was also a Duke table in the rather enjoyable 3D Realms pinball game, Balls of Steel.

that instrumental verison was hidden, put the Atomic Edtion CD in a CD player and put it on Track 2...that remix was done by Mega Deth actually

    As to Jorpho....

You are correct, but the only way to get that (with Duke 1 and 2), was to order from 3D Realms themselves, plus you were supposed to get a free Duke 3D mouse pad.

and yes, Death Rally was the name of the racing game that Duke was in

Jon St. Jon (voice of Nukem and radio DJ from California) was always a voice over for Sonic Adventure as the voice of "E-102 Gamma" and a voice over for the game "FORSAKEN" PSX and N64

He did E-102 Gamma's voice? Wow...you learn something new everyday. Do stores still sell Atomic Edition of Duke Nukem? If they do, I know it will cost really cheap since it'z an old game.

I bought my copy of Duke 3D at Best Buy and it had the early Duke games on it as well as the mousepad (which i still currently use).

I believe the free mousepad was only available in the first shipments of Duke3D.

NeoVenom The last time i ever spied Duke Atomic in store was way back in 1999 and i picked it up for $10 (compared to the $30 i spent on Duke3D in 1996). I'd try Ebay in scoring a cheap copy, thats how i got my sealed copy of "Shadow Warrior".
