I too have to go with Sonic CD's UFO chasing. Didn't have an opportunity to play that game until well into my N64 years, and it still impressed the hell out of me seeing that on the ol' Genny. Good fun, to boot.

it's close, between Sonic 2 and Sonic and knuckles Sphere collecting. I Like the one where you vertically climb the column and gather the powerups that's my favorite.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles Sphere Collecting was a must

I personally love Sonic 2's half pipe
These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!

i think they are all very well done, i voted for the half pipe

1- very very trippy, a tech demo more than anything, but its also the most challenging of the lot

2 - fast and fun. even if you do not know where all the rings are, the later stages are still a challenge

3 - nicely animated, and very clean and sharp graphics. Fun to play, but the nature of the games give you fairly limited control

CD - probably my least favorite, but still pretty well done. makes you wonder if sega had a "mode 7" sonic game in mind all along

Anyone ever finish the hidden bonus stage in Sonic CD? I refer to the really difficult one accessible only through the sound test.

It was tough but i had to go with the Sphere grid one. I actually beat a level or 2 on a black and white TV. Probably because i memorised it. I would rather just say i am that amazing though.

The techno maze was so much fun. I never was able to get all the gems though.

The half pipe was cool too except for the fact when i was younger my controller didn't have the best response so i would end up about 1/8 of an inch off and miss like 5 out of 10 rings. (I ended up getting good at it though before getting a new controller)

I have never played Sonic CD sadly.

The bonus stages in the original Jazz Jackrabbit (PC) are similar.
