    Default About feedback ...

It just struck me the other day, that since the ebay feedback system rounds off your feedback percentage to the nearest 0.1 of a percent, it should be technically possible to have a "100%" positive feedback rating despite having a couple of negatives.

I have two negatives. By my calculations, once I reach 4000 with no more negative feedbacks then I will once again be the proud owner of a "100%" positive feedback record on ebay Here goes!!

It's always interesting when looking at a sellers percentage and thinking it's great until actually looking at the raw numbers. Then you notice there can sometimes be many negatives.

    Default Well ..

    Also, consider this:

I currently have a percentage of 99.8% - to get back to "100%" , an increase of 0.2%I have to get 3200 more positives with no negs. However, if one single person gives me a negative I will drop to 99.5%, a drop of 0.3%!

Furthermore, to get back to my 99.8% I would need to accrue 800 more positives with no more negs!!

Might seem like nothing, but the thing is that some people will actually preferentially bid for someone with a higher percentage, even if it is only 0.2% difference ...

I never go by percentange. Its always by the total number of negs vs the total number of unique positives. If you do 1000 deals a month and 10 of them go bad thats kind of expected. Also it depends on what went wrong with them. If they didnt ship thats alot worse then like, "item was rolled around in dog shit before being shipped F-!"

Interesting...I was thinking about this exact thing this morning. I have 99.9% with 1551 positives 1 negative. Hopefully if I make it to 2000 with no more negatives I can achieve this also.
