Gamecube> Controller Port One not working

Okay gang, for some reason, about a month or so ago, the first port on my GC, stopped working, my wavebird wirks plugged in 2-4, but not one, anything I can do to fix it? Or am I just sol. Its not crucial as I can still play all games, but its annoying.

It's likely been dropped. The controller port block is cracked, by falling on it's face, driving the controller end into the PCB HARD.

The only fix is to replace the controller block, which is easy, if you have the part. You would need a 4.5mm security bit as well.

I can trade or sell a spare block if you need one.

That might be as my daughter occassionally messes with it. How much for the part. And where can I find instructions?
