Hey everyone! My name is Jess, and I'm 22 year old college student from CT. I found this forum during my ongoing search for a particular NES game (Bio Miracle by Konami, if you haven't already seen me mention it a billion times already )
I currently have the following systems:
1) Atari 2600
With it: about 30 games, and the paddles - all of which I scored for the low low price of free. I was at my friend's house a few years ago, and I found all of her Atari stuff under her bed. I was like "You have Atari?!" and she just said "Yea - you want it?" like it was just some useless junk. So of course I took it. The TV adaptor piece was missing, and I kept putting off getting a replacement. I finally got an RF adaptor last weekend, and I've been playing it ever since! I do need new paddles though, so if anyone wants to get rid of any, feel free to let me know
Some of the games I have:
2) NES
With it: about 40 games, the zapper, and the Power Pad. Most of my games are pretty bad and/or really strange: Knight Rider, King's Knight, Anticipation, Snake Rattle & Roll, and MappyLand, just to name a few.
Funny story about how big of a dumbass I am: a few years ago I bought Gyromite at FuncoLand because it was cheap and I was bored. So I took it home and tried to play it, and started getting really pissed when I couldn't get anywhere. I had my suitemates try it too, and we were all like "What the f*#k is wrong with this game?!" So after a few more attempts, I thought to go online and research it. It took me awhile because there was basically nothing on the internet about it. When I finally found out that you needed a robot to play it, I couldn't stop laughing. But even so, I can't bear to part with the game...yea I'm weird, I know.
3) I also still have my old Game Boy from about 1988-1989, but the sound barely works and the screen fell off. I only have about 7 or 8 games for it, and I really only take it out to play Link's Awakening.
I'm not an avid collector, but every once in awhile I'll take a trip to FuncoLand and pick up some random Nintendo games just for the sake of entertaining myself. If I had to pick just one favorite game, I'd say Dr. Mario for NES - for some reason, I never tire of its repetitive nature.
aaaaand I'm done
