Wellllll, Hi
The names Martin, am from Australia
Ive known of digi press for a long time and had a few guides, thought i'd join the forum as i can relate to the threads easily.
Better off saying what i dont collect for, list would be shorter:
Snes
Megadrive
5200
CDi
Ive gathered a huge collection of games over the years, biggest would be either the 2600 or the saturn followed closely by dreamcast. I collect alot of consoles so plenty of pal/US/JAP systems, helps when you have imports
Currently playing parodius deluxe and Gunbird on the saturn and Dragon quest 8 on ps2
I'm Sarah, one of DigitalSpace's gaming buddies. He and I actually live pretty close to each other down good ol 82nd Ave. I went along with him to this weekend's NWCGE show and met some DP members. So the day after I decided to join DP cause what the hell? Very few of you might actually remember me from the show though!
Oh I forgot to mention my gaming profile! I'm not just for looks yknow!
I grew up playing Nintendo casually, all the systems except for the Virtual Boy. My dad would buy the systems and a handful of games for me and my two younger step siblings. We would play a lot of wrestling, Goldeneye, Mario Kart, etc. My first video game would be Duck Hunt on the NES at the ripe age of 4, which was the same year I learned to read huh!
My very favorite series is Legend of Zelda, and I was influenced at an early age by watching a babysitter play Link to the Past. So that makes my favorite game genre RPGs. Mostly because I really love all the boring assed text reading and creating strategies. Lately my obsession is with MMORPGs, because obviously I'm trying to torture myself!
Currently I have a modest collection of 350 games and 10 consoles, but always trying to build up and learn more about classic games since I'm ODing on current gen. I totally buy games to play them because I'm not as dedicated as most of you to build and sell, although I respect those of you that do!
I would be classified as "deaf" since I can't really hear every day sounds. I still have some hearing but it requires headphones and cranking to 11! I love Nintendo for creating very accessible games to play since I never play with sound (it would freak me out a lot). And I get a lil angry sometimes when games don't have subtitles (I'm looking at you, Splinter Cell series!) and especially when DVDs don't as well.
DigitalSpace can vouch for me, I'm a very mellowed out and down to earth girl who can make some crazy jokes and always willing to learn new things. Expect to see a lot of me posting around!
Just Introducing myself,
Who you are - Dan (shadow77110 on every site I'm registered at)
Where you live - Dunedin, New Zealand
How you found the forums - I was looking up how rare my old PSX games were and came across this site.
What your favorite games are - This is a hard one, might be Metal Gear Solid 3 (PS2) or
Super Mario World (SNES) or
Resident Evil 2 (PSX)
What systems you collect for - PAL PSX at the moment, but when I get a SNES, I'll collect for that too.
What you do in "real life" - I'm still at school.
Any other interesting facts - Not many, other than this site got me collecting and I am 13 and like games other than PS2/XBox GTA replicas. Hardly anyone at school knows I collect though, because the people that do, say the games are useless, not fun and old (whats wrong with old stuff? My Fav. Artist is Pink Floyd).
I'm new here and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 31 years old, been gaming since my big bro brought home a 2600 when I was about 6 years old. Although I do own other systems, I'd say I'm more Nintendo-centric than anything else. I'm not a huge message board guy, but I do frequent one other board besides DP. I am in the process of moving right now, so all my consoles are packed Due to that, all my game time the past couple of months has been on my DS. Phoenix Wright, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart Wi-Fi, NSMB and Trauma Center.
See ya 'round the boards.

- Who you are
I'm the Grumpy Hatter, pleased to meet you.
- Where you live
Small town in Connecticut. Not much goes on around here, and the nearest game stores are a 20 to 30 minute drive. Not fun.
- How you found the forums
I'd seen it linked quite a few times on CAG, and I thought to check it out two weeks ago. I like to lurk a bit when I'm checking out a new forum, just to see the general mood of the place.
- What your favorite games are
In terms of "classic" games, I'd have to say Chrono Trigger. Really incredible game. More recently, I've really enjoyed Guitar Hero, Tales of Symphonia, and Super Smash Bros. Melee.
- What systems you collect for
I don't really do too much collecting. Until recently, I didn't even realize people considered video game collecting a viable thing to do. I don't buy many games for older systems very often, as most of my money goes toward getting all the games I want for the current generation. CAG has certainly helped me out there quite a bit. However, now that I know more about the collection aspect of the hobby, I've been considering getting a system I don't own and collecting for it. Dreamcast is the most likely choice right now, because it's got a lot of good multiplayer games, something my friends and I are really in need of, and it has a lot of legendary fighters. I suppose that was a bit of a long-winded answer, but I get carried away sometimes.
- What you do in "real life"
Student. So I'm in the prime of my life in terms of free time to play video games.
- Any other interesting facts, like how you began collecting, etc.
Really, I have CAG to thank for starting me on the path that has led me here.

When I grew up I just knew that one day I wanted a computer. After looking at all the competition I decided on a Commodore 64. My grandmother at the time (85?) worked at a (now defunct) chain store called "Venture." They sold the Commodore / Atari computers in a big way. But one day she heard that Commodore was going out of business (it did, but not for quite some time!) As a result, My parents were a little spooked about buying a "dead" computer. So what I got instead was an Radio Shack Color Computer.
Now don't get me wrong. It was an alright computer w/ good games. But the sound was hideous, you only had a choice of 2 different controllers (the controllers were analog), really bad graphics (4 colors!)
After a while I upgraded to the CoCo 3. It was better graphics with the same crappy sound. Anyway, I eventually upgraded to an Amiga and well - I won't make it very long. But I still think once in a while how I might have turned out or how different my life would have been had I had a C64.
Fast forward to last weekend I decided to visit the Commodore show in Lombard, Illinois. I picked up a copy of Commodork and after finishing the book I think it inspired me to actually purchase the computer and get some software for it. I'd also like to learn Assembly language programming too. Anyway, that's enough for now![/i]

I've never moved before so I choice my second choice electronics. RIght now I work at a casino as a slot technician I repair the slot machines.

Hey everyone. I am new to the forums, but have been a fan of digital press for a while now. I will try to keep this brief, for I have a tendency to ramble.
I am a 21 year old male from Cary, NC. I enjoy games and playing bass guitar. My ambition is to work in the game industry with the ultimate goal of being a game designer. Some of my favorite games include Super Mario Bros. 3, the Metal Gear Solid series, the Resident Evil series, Diablo II, Morrowind, and Day of Defeat. I am not a serious collector, and I have a humble collection ranging from NES to PS2.
That's all for now. Bye, everyone.

Hi every one,
My name is Robert Hinds and live in Brampton, Ontario Canada. I am just getting into collecting games and have around eleven systems so far.
Hello All!
My name is Matthew,
From Columbia, MO. I am mostly into Xbox stuff now, just because stuff is getting cheap and it's easy to find. I am up to almost 100 Xbox titles and counting. I have small collection of games, a little of everything. I enjoy my NES the most just because thats the system I grew up with. Usually sell my super rare games on ebay to buy other games. Will have a lot of stuff on for the Christmas season.
Ebay user Id:

Let's see, the name is Glenn.
I live in Aston, PA which is about 20 minutes outside of Philadelphia.
I build custom cars/motorcycles for a living. Seriously. I'm also looking into a more "regular" job because I'm in line for at least one probably two major knee surgeries next year.
I currently have a NES, SNES, N64, Game Cube, GBA, and will be picking up the silver edition PS2 as soon as it shows up at the local store. In addition I'll basically buy any system I can find complete in box that I feel has at least 1 quality game worth owning in the collection for it. I'm a pack-rat basically. My one condition is that I buy only "complete" items AND won't buy re-issues. So no "greatest hits", "players choice" or any of that crap. It's all complete and original or I'll keep hunting.
I got involved in video games when I was a wee little lad and my father took me to sears and surprised me with the brand new NES system. It's been a constant thing, more or less, since that day.
Other hobbies or whatever, oh hell I can sum up my entire life in very few words. I am a tattooed and pierced freak obcessed with motorcycles, custom cars, and video games.
Hope to get to know you all better soon, peace.
Hello everyone, I'm JD. I am a long time lover of video games and am just now 'rediscovering' them. (having taken a long break to collect several 1980s action figure lines...) What I'm most into are the handhelds. I have many Atari Lynx games, and Genesis games as well. I also have a Virtual Boy with nearly all the games made for it, and I support GB, GBA, GG, and have about 300 2600 "commons".....so I suppose I have a sampling of everything. Sadly, I traded away my Lynx systems and my Nomad years ago, and miss them badly. What I'd most love would be both or either of said systems....its very frustrating to have the GAMES for them but nothing to PLAY them on!! rrrrrrr lol. Anyhow, I live in Kentucky (ughhh...I'm a NYer at heart..) with my girl and our puppy, and am a chef by trade. Thats about it I suppose. Thanks for listening!
