regarding hi def, i played at a friends house today, and he gave me a lot of component cables, and svideo cables, so i plugged the psone on component, and my god! it looks like a load of crap! I knew it ran on low res, but damn, that pixel fest is damn near impossible to stand!

on pre 64 bit consoles stay away from svideo and better :S

Well, my $.02 - that's bad advice to be giving. If one doesn't like S-Video, all they have to do is simply leave out the fourth plug. Easy. Cable costs the same.

hehe, sorry, but i don't like pixels gone wild on my telly. Some people might like it the same way (or would some anti-aliasing kill sony?).

Not a big thing, but if you're gonna state an opinion, be sure to do so! Looked like you were saying S-Video PSX kills kittens or something. It doesn't. If anything, S-Vid on the PSX helps eliminate dot crawl and other nasty things - plus the sharpness is good on the eyes :)
