Default Xenogears non-greatest hits worth more that Greatest Hits?

Just a question for all. With all these greatest hits game being made is the non-greatest hit game worth more? I have an Xenogears and Final Fantasty Chronicle for Ps1. Both non-greatest hits. Doe any one have a clue what the price is for these. I checked out the rarity guide already on the site. $20 for Xenogears. Any feed back would be useful.

Technically, it should make a difference since the original Xenogears should be significantly rarer than the Greatest Hits version. Prior to the GH version, it was going for big bucks on eBay. However, at this point, I don't think there's a particularly noticable difference in price. I imagine as the years go by collectors will raise the price of the original version at least somewhat.

Xenogears actually got a regular reprint shortly before going GH, so it's not that uncommon. The GH reissues pretty much eliminate any demand out there by casual gamers (see: Dragon Ball GT's Atari reprint), and there really aren't enough collectors out there to buy up the several hundred thousand non-GH copies that need to be sold before a game goes GH to bring the price back up. Final Fantasy Tactics was going for $70+ used on eBay before the reissue, I recently picked it up non-GH for about ten bucks.

Sealed could be a different story, I'd rather not think what a sealed non-GH FF7 would go for on eBay.

But don't forget that for the most part.. the original issues usually have better looking screenprints/artwork ON the CDs (PSX).. than the GH issues do. So in my eyes.. that makes them more desirable/valuable.

silly question...of course, ive seen non-gh hits versions of ff7 brand new go on ebay for over $100, and at one point xenogears was selling for 80-100 a little after it was released...they didnt push xenogears alot here, because of some religious issues i guess
