    Default Instruction booklet for Zelda

I am curious. I just bought the Classic version
of the Legend of Zelda for Gameboy Advance.

The story in it is very detailed about how Zelda was kidnapped
and how her nursemaid Impa was sent from the castle to
find a hero to do battle with Ganon.

Here is my question. Was this the same story in the original
    booklet for the NES version?

My guess is that it has been enhanced with more detail.

Does anyone have the original? I'd love to know if there are any
    differances in the 2 stories.

I have the original, but I don't have access to it right now.

The original did indeed have the story, it was a few pages long. Included the events with impa and the image of her holding links hand while the triforce glowed on it, etc etc. It's probably the same story.

The original also came with an awesome fold out map of the entire Hyrule overworld. It was rather rare and only came with the first few US print runs of the game (I think).

I remember the original having some pretty awesome art as well as the drawings, like a clay model of hyrule. Did the classic re-issue include that? Also, was the manual in color in the reissue?

No, unfortunately not. Sure, there's a green border around the pages, but other than that, it's in black and white (or greenscale, to be more precise). And no, I don't think it included the clay model, although, it's been a while since I looked at the manual.

T: compare your gba manual to the nes manual:
    http://vimm.net/

They have some NES manual scans including Legend of Zelda. I looked through my manual and I don't see any clay model of hyrule...what page is this on? There is some neat (and aweful) artwork in that manual I had forgotten about.

The "clay model" is the ultra nifty backdrop on the two page spread (pg 3-4) where the Legend is told. The pages that follow tell the story of Link and Impa and are called "hints on how to destroy Gannon." These pages feature the animation style art and the very well developed story of the Legend of Zelda.
    SO not the Drama.

I remember the art, but not the story. I only have the books for part 2 and a Link to the past (SNES). I always thought the cell art was straight out of a cartoon. If Nintendo went to the trouble of making such kick ass art just for the booklet, then I have to say it was a great idea by them. If not, then is there a cartoon in Japan that looks like that?? I think they should come out with a zelda cartoon done in that style of animation. I would die of a heart attack if Gibhli studios did it, for they are gods in the realm of animation.
