    Default Sega CD schematics?

Does anyone know where I could find Sega CD schematics? I took the voltage regulator from my fried Sega CD 1 to Midwest Electronic Supply, and he tried to cross reference the number, but came up empty. His conclusion was that it is an oem part. If I could find a schematic, I could find it's ratings and values, then get an "aftermarket" replacement.

Maybe I should just buy another Sega CD...

I don't know where to find the scematic but I could take apart my Sega CD and check the pinout. What part is it (board reference number like VR1?)

Then maybe yu could find a compatible part. But I would guess it is a form of 7805 as nearly all electronics operate on 5v DC anyway.

Excellent! The board location is TR4, which is at the extreme upper left corner of the machine (if viewed from above). In other words, it's directly to the left of the DC input jack.

If you can get a reading for me (what info, exactly, would the guys at Mid Elect need to find a replacement?), I would be in your debt!

I'll get on to it when I get the chance.
