Default Weekday Finds Jan 31- Feb 4

Stopped at a Pawn America and got a mint boxed copy of Super Mario Brothers 2 for 8.99.

Other than that I hate that Pawn America

I walked in and saw tons of NES and SNES games. The ones I picked out were Metroid w/manual, Tengen Gauntlet w/manual, Dragon Spirit Boxed and a loose Super Metroid. I walk up to an employee and ask how much the games are, and she says "We have to price them." Odd, every other Pawn America I've gone to has standard prices for each ystem's games. She walks over to the computer and looks up Super Metroid. $29.99 I said no thanks, that's a very high price. She agrred with me and called over the assistant manager, a 20-something year old guy, who looks and sounds like the average teenage employee from the Simpsons. He says #Wow, that must be a really rare game!" I said no, its just desireable. She looks up Gauntlet. $14.99. I then ask her how they get their prices. they use EB Games and Gamestop's website. That explains alot. :/ Metroid, 17.99. Dragon Spirit, 4.99. Super Mario Brothers 2, 9.99. And to top it all of, she is putting labels right onto the box or label of the cartidge. When she looked up the SMB2, and put aprice tag on it, I damn near died. I told her to stop, and she put it on the plastic of the cartridge. Crisis averted.

Other than that, she was the nicest and most polite person I think I have ever dealed with at a Pawn Shop.

This is a few days late, but...

    @ Pawn America:
    Mario Golf 64 - $4
Star Ocean: Second Story - $8

And Saabmeister...which Pawn America(s) do you usually go to? Any other places around MN that are good places to look?

Besides my stuff that's listed in the GameRush $0.99 thread, I also picked these up at GameRush yesterday morning:

Alundra (PSX, missing manual) - $6.99
Final Fantasy VIII (PSX, Complete, Non-GH) - $6.99
Freestyle Street Soccer (Gamecube, Complete, Blockbuster-exclusive release) - $4.99

I also found a PS2 Star Wars: Battlefront box in the trash as I was leaving. :P

I didn't feel like being jealous today, but damn, I know I'm gonna be extremely envious over this haul.

I don't even know what it is!

i guess i better get this out now before everyone is cauterized

just went out thrifting after finally getting some time off from work
hit up my first thrift and nothing special was there except a ps1 with all connects for 10 bucks. i passed , but hesistantly.

next thrift , just some 2600 games that i already had, but they did have a moon patrol, dig dug, and an earthworld in the mix
    passed at $2 a pop

next went to a pawn that has crap, saw some n64 games of note, and they are having a 3 for $20 special on ng4,ps1,and dreamcast stuff. best i saw was a wetrix and chameleon twist and diddy kong racing(boxed) for the 64
looked over the ps2 and xbox stuff cause me don't have one of them. so went to the ps1 stack and on top is this yellow disc that just looked funny to me. read it and it said Liquid Books on it. i thought to myself should I or not. so i passed i usually grab things i dont recognize and looks collecty. get home and check the guide r8 hellooooooo
needless to say assoon as i get done with this thread it's coming to sit by my Bubble game on the top shelf.

next hit another thrift that never pans out, and what's the first thing i see. a dogbone control. my hearts pumping now. but alas not a toploader in sight. so snatch up the bone and a 6 button genny control for .50
    also snes games
    super tennis loose
    kablooey loose for $4

off to spend some money now, tata

I just found a dogbone controller myself last week for $6. I'm not really interested in owning a top loader, except as a collectible, but those dogbone controllers are way better than the originals! So much more confortable to hold!
