I got it through Playstation: Underground.

I'd love to try it too. I'm part of that PS Underground thing, so I'll probably get it sooner or later. That game looks pretty amazing from what i've heard.
"First, we have aspirin. A common cure for things that aspirin cures. Leads to.....rabies."
It's a hack-and-slash type game. Graphics are very pretty as well as the swords effects as you combo damage enemies. I also liked the fact that grabbing an enemy and hitting the strong attack buttom makes you tear the enemy in half, literally!

i just got it today and it frickin rocks, i so want this game right now
Just got a question though, how the heck you beat that hydra in the ship that regenerates its life?!
My Gaming Collection (Now at Google Drive!)
Well, I haven't played the demo, so this is just a shot in the dark, but --
Is there any way to burn the hydra?
In Greek myth, Hercules defeated the hydra by hacking off it's heads, then burning the stumps with a torch so that the heads could not grow back.
Let me know if I was close. Good luck!
It's only a game if you PLAY it!
that game looks like it's going to rock so I do envy you guys
I just got the God of War demo a couple days ago. Had never heard of it before. Pretty impressive game, and the demo is quite long. It's very much like the recent Prince of Persia games. I've played the demo of Warrior Within, and I have to say I think I liked the God of War demo more than WW's demo. The combat is both quick and fluid, and you can execute multi-hit combos which seems to fill up your "red" meter faster and also gives you a ranking like games like Devil May Cry do. I'm not really sure, but I think the red stuff acts like currency for unlocking and upgrading moves, weapons and skills. And there looks to be a huge amount of these, as well as bonus content, to unlock. Unfortunately, unlocking stuff is disabled in the demo. But it seems to give you an incentive to develop your combat skills and pull off cool moves.
The controls are good, but I don't know how practical using the right analog stick to evade is, since you won't be able to jump or attack while using it. I guess you'll need to switch back and forth fast.
As for killing the hydra (SPOILERS):
You need to keep beating on either of the side ones until they collapse. You will see a bunch of boxes you can climb at the sides of the area. Quickly climb these on the same side as the knocked-down hydra and jump on the round platform hanging by a rope that is nearby, which will crash down and pin down the hydra. Repeat with the other side. Then you can climb up and see the middle hydra, but the demo ends there.
I just borrowed the demo from my friends, and WOW! I have a feeling this will be one of my favorite ps2 games of all time. It has everything a game needs to make it a classic.
Wonderful camera
Awsome graphics
Top notch animation
Excellent voice acting
Very very fun combat system (think rygar on ps2 only better)
Tons and tons of combos
Experience points system to level abilities
Magic like specials
Interesting story
Perfect blend of fighting, puzzle solving, exploration
And not to mention the games concept...greek mythology!
wow....thats all I halfto say this game is going to be awsome. The demo also has an interv iew where the producer i think says that the demo level is more linear and "rushed" with ideas not as fresh as the other levels. Well if witnessing a giant hydra wreck havock on ships ...ships that you are on isnt as fresh as other ideas...I certainly cant wait!
Watch this game people...its a gem.
