Any games for the Sega Genesis similar to Ogre Battle??

I've just started getting into the Genesis scene and I was wondering if there were any strategy games for it that is similar to Ogre Battle? Any other good strategy/RPG games for this system, let me know!!

i have never played it, but there is a game called monster master i believe that is a grid based strategu game, i just saw a copy on ebay.

I've never played an Ogre Battle game, but there's this little "Shining Force" series for the Genny that's pretty good.

Master of Monsters and it has turn based combat in it. I've never played it but it didn't get good reviews from what I remember.

There's nothing really quite the same as Ogre Battle at all. Closest thing I can think of is Dragon Force for the Saturn. You might like Warsong for the Genny...but it's grid based as well.

Shining Force comes close I'd say

Master of Monsters gets a bad rap. IMO. There's also:

- Shining Force I & II
- Shining Force CD
- Warsong
- Dark Wizard for the Sega CD (awesome)
