Historical Fighting game?

A friend on mine claims to have seen screenshots of a preview of fighting game featuring historical characters, such as Winston Churchill vs. Abe Lincoln.

I've never heard of this and frankly can't imagine there being a large market for such a game, but he swears up and down he saw it in a magazine and that it was going to be released on the Game Cube. He's not a huge gamer, and I have no reason to not believe him other than the absurdity of the game and the fact that I've never heard of it.

Anyone know what he's talking about?

Well, in my friend and I's wrestling game, we DID have Winston Churchill vs Abe Lincoln.

If there's an actual fighting game coming out that would be awesome, but I would be pretty surprised if he didn't somehow hear of our odd characters and thought it was an actual game.
