Dino Crisis 2

Dredging the local bargain bin turned up Dino Crisis 2 (PC) today. Is it a worthwhile game? (Most of Capcom's PC ports don't seem to turn up very often, but I assume they do not differ much from the PSX orginals.)

Well the First Dino Crisis is basically RE just with Dino's instead of Zombies.

The second one is alot more more action oriented (but still controls like RE), allowing you to buy ammo, and when killing things, and done fast enough, are given point combo's which allow you to buy more weapons, ammo ect. I liked it more than DC1 because it felt like a different game, and not just another RE/survival horror clone.

Dino Crisis II was an improvement on the first. Teh action aspect was perfect, but did take a bit of getting used to though. But after you've gone through it once or twice you get accustomed to it.

The first was based on Resi far too much. There were far too many puzzles, and the way the storyline split for multiple endings was confusing.

The second one I can just put on for some serious stress relief!


I was a bit confused about the ending though, and spent many hours going through the whole game trying to find an alternate one, but alas could not, no matter how many times I ran through it...


I think I eventually I managed to cane it through the whole game in under an hour!!! That was a while ago though, so not sure if I can achieve that again without a little practice...

Though I didn't enjoy it as much as the first game, it was still REALLY good in my opinion. Don't know about the PC port though (don't have much experience with them).

Still haven't played Dino Crisis 3 yet (the whole space thing kinda threw me off). I mean, aren't dinosaurs cool enough? Do we really need to add outer space into the mix?

I got through Dino Crisis 2 w/ a guide & I still enjoyed it.

Stay away from DC 3 though....heard the camera was atrocious & nothing good about it but the clean graphics & shiny surfaces.
