Default Please help! SNES appraisal - International Superstar Soccer

Someone I know is selling this game to me. Hes not selling it very cheap. (Over 25 dollars, to say enough)

I dont collect SNEs games, so Id buy it only to sell it again and make a profit, maybe on Ebay.. or maybe trading it for some rare or uncommon genesis games.

how much do you think this game would go for?

Its: International Super Star Soccer for SNES, by Konami.

    Thanks!!!

Put the name of the game in the title of this thread--you're bound to get a ton more hits with it, as I always see this game on people's want lists.

I say it's pretty rare, I've only heard rumors of it, I've never actually even seen a picture of it...I say snatch it if you have the money!

If you're going to sell it, it's a big gamble, since not a lot of people know about the game. I thought it was for collection purposes.....

First of all how can you verify its an ntsc true release and how much money we talking about your friend wanting. Find out where he got it from. Such a rare game ought to have a good story

Ive seen TONS of dragon balls in the flea markets (at least 10 copies). But i CANT tell if theyre bootlegs. The case looks like from any US snes game.

The Dragon Ball games (even boxed) look like the late Majesco releases, which have a faded looking box. I am pretty sure that ISS is the same way, but I am unsure. I'll pay you $50 for that ISS right now if you wanted though.

That's right so I would think that people collecting US games would not even want it, especially considering that it is fairly common in South America.

Not every collector automatically shuns any game not officially released within the borders of your 50 states.
Especially when it's widely acclaimed as being the best soccer game of it's era, and an interesting oddity for any collection aswell.

And it's not like it's on the same level as, say, Brazilian VCS carts - it's an official North American release, in the US cart shape. I don't collect NTSC SNES games, but if I did, I'd certainly want one of these.
Strikes me as being a similar situation to certain European releases - for example, Smurfs 2 (SMS) seems only to have been available in the Czech Republic and was never sold in the UK, but I wouldn't consider my collection 'complete' without it.

The problem is Nintendo does not even recognize it as a release for some reason, same with the Dragon Ball games that "look" bootleg.

This game is a very special case. Im sure Konami intended to market it in the USA. Because it was packaged as a USA release, and AFAIK all the documents are in english too

Why would they sell a game to latin americans, if the booklet is in english? We all speak Spanish only!

Maybe they sold out their entire shipment in Mexico ...lol

BTW I secured this game last night. I will trade it for 3 games. I should have it by the end of the week

Do you think itd be better to sell it on ebay? OR listen for offers in here?

    Thanks everyone!
