Me!
I dunno, do you mean actors, politicians, or singers, artists, etc? Or those who are famous BECAUSE of their collections?

Alright, you dragged it out of me, I'm really Tom Cruise. Please, no autographs.
You might want to watch that show "Players" on G4TechTV (or maybe it's back to just G4 since they took away most of TechTV's content).
Then again, maybe not. Usually it's some rapper playing Madden or some other sports game on PS2. The only one I saw with retro games was Hal Sparks (of "Queer as Folk" but probably better known for his commentary on VH1's "I Love the 80's/70's/90's" shows). He had some Atari 2600 games and played them.
I've heard John Mayer obsessively plays Halo...
Yeah, I still don't like him either.
Watching G4, I'll often see them interviewing folks on "The Red Carpet™", asking them about what games they're into etc. Many of them mention being into retrogaming, but something tells me the last time most of them played pac-man was sometime after birth, and before the agent, thousand-dollar shopping sprees, and that cocaine addiction.
we already had a big topic about this, i'm too lazy to search right now though

Yeah, most of these celebrities say "Pac Man" "Donkey Kong", "Mario", etc because those are the last games they played....back in the early 80's.
Other than that, you just got your typical Madden celebs.
I doubt seriously that any of them are REALLY into retrogaming at all. Ask em who Aero The Acrobat, Sparkster, Mighty The Bee, or Plok is and they wont be able to tell you because they are some of the more obscure classic characters....where as most of us on the boards here would know.
Wasn't that dude from Star Trek TNG a retro collector? Will something...

Will Wheaton.
And, here's the thread that hydr0x was mentioning:

I've seen a bunch of pics of Paris Hilton carrying around a GameCube... could it be true?

As reported elsewhere, that's supposedly Kevin Smith's Turbo Express in Enemy of the State.

If we're talking celebrities and video games in general.....
-I read in a magazine that rapper Rah Digga (flip mode squad) can dominate Resident Evil 2.
-Mariah Carey has a Ms. Pac Man cocktail cabinet in her apartment. I saw it on her episode of MTV Cribs.
-I've seen Jaleel "Steve Urkel" White play Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike.
I read somewhere a few years back that Curt Schilling (Boston Red Sox pitcher) was really into EverQuest. When he was pitching for Philly and Arizona he would take his laptop on the road for away games so he could play EQ in his hotel room. And about a year and a half ago, he actually wrote a review for PC Gamer that covered one of the EQ expansion pack (some "Planes of...something expansion pack) Pretty cool to think that some people playing EQ were adventuring with a Hall of Fame pitcher and didn't even know it!

Most of the celebs I see on tv are only into the newest systems, or the ones they are getting paid to endorse. You always see the guys on MTV's cribs with the XBox, GameCube or PS2 hooked up to the massive entertainment centers. However I did see the crib of two of the members of Maroon 5 and they had a NES hooked up to a set in there living room. They didn't mention it, but it was in the background.
Condoleezza Rice is nice, but I prefer A Roni!
Holy crap. I'm not famous, but I post here pretty regularly, and I have no friggin idea about any of those guys. Must be from my giant NES blind spot. (As you well know, NES is too recent to be "classic" :P )Originally Posted by Cmosfm
