I have Dragon Ball Z: Hyper Dimension for SFC and it won't work on my adapter because it uses the FX chip. Does anyone know where I can find a fx chip compatible adapter or anything else that will allow me to play this game?

One adapter that springs to mind is AD-29 Upgrade Version. It was made by Freetron (whatever they're called now) but it was sold under many other names too, none of which I remember at the moment.
Or if you're handy you can mod your SNES to play all games. long_shawn_silver made a recent thread about the specifics.
Thanx for the info.Originally Posted by davidleeroth
It can be tricky to find a converter that actually supports FX chip games. Some of them have slots for the side connectors yet they don't support them (what the use of that is, I don't know o_O ). I recommend a modification. Even if you're opposed to modifying your main console, you could possibly find a cheap extra SNES to mod and end up paying less total than you would to buy a converter that supports the FX chip.
I think some converters are like the Game Genie for the SNES. While the Game Genie did have a connector that suported the eight pins on either side of the main connector, no actual contact was made and passed through to the SNES's slot. This is extremely cheap, all you might save is $.20 per converter.
Just modify your console. Take those two little tabs on the two sides of the connector pins from inside the cartridge insert port. Took me like 15 minutes (I used a small pair of pliers and some patience to just wiggle them back and forth until it felt loose. Just think of it as when you were little and it took a hell of a time to pull out a loose tooth by yourself)
Besides, every SNES/Super Famicom system on the face of this planet is well over 10 years past warranty.
