Sharp TV/NES combo controller...?

Found this today at a local store. There was nothing in the usual game bins, but we spotted a box behind the counter of trades that were 'just-in'. We begged the guy to look at the box, and this (among other things) was in there.

Is this the Sharp TV/NES controller? Anyone else have one? Is it rare?

It's gotta be to the Sharp/NES combo. I can't see that second picture, though. What does it say on the back of the controller?

It is the sharp/NES controller. I have never seen one in the wild but I found mine on ebay for something like 3 dollars. I looked for one for a long time to go with my TV. Probably not worth a lot to someone who does not own the TV. Cool find though.

I just took it all apart and used watered down bleach and a semi-stiff fingernail brush to scrub all the parts. The thing looks way better than in the pics now, like new!

Also, all the buttons are very clicky and though the controller has seen some wear (only on the back) from being around all these years, I don't think it was used much.

would you be interested in selling or trading it? I'd love to have it since i collect odd NES controllers and accessories.

Also... it couldn't have been too bad of a day for finds since it looks as if you came away with a caltron cart.

Yah, my room is a mess, I have carts all over the place. And yes, that is Caltron, but I've had it for a while!

Went back to the store today to poke around, and saw this sticking out of a box from across the room!

Let's just say, she comes in twos!

No Sharp TV anywhere to be found though

It's a controller for a Sharp combo television/NES. They are very neat and I imagine very rare also.

I bet it would be a bitch to clean one of them as it probably has the same insides as a NES 1.
