    Default E3 pass

Does anybody have any advice on how to beat the system and get into E3? How hard is it to get one of those press passes...or something...anything?

Back in the good ole days, you just needed a fake business card. Unfortunately the changed the system a couple of years ago, and now they need much more offcial information.

I'm not so sure that any Gamestore owner can get you pass. He would have to either be a really good friend of yours, or you would have to make it so that something was in it for him.

It isn't as easy as it used to be.

Also, I think you need to pay a fee to get your pass. Even if it's just to the conventions and not to the workshops/press confrences.

I'm a Blockbuster store manager and got a free package 5 entry by registering online and faxing a paystub and 2004 W2. They let you block out all of the sensitive stuff - they just need to see your name, company name, and that the documents are current. I would assume any employee of any retail company that deals in games could get in for free (if registered by April 15, 2005). The only issue for me was getting to LA and finding a hotel room nearby, 'cause they're almost all booked or blocked for E3.
