Default FS: UR Atari 2600 Protos

    Hi all,

I'm almost done selling my Atari 2600 prototype collection, but there are still some very nice goodies left. You probably know how rare these are, chances are you'll never see them anywhere else again. Here's the stuff:

    SOLD! Alligator People
    $600 Crack'Ed, pcb
$650 Miss Piggy's Wedding, lab loaner

    SOLD! Planet of the Apes
    $600 Rabbit Transit, lab loaner
    $400 Saboteur, lab loaner
    $850 2-in-1 Atari experimental cart

    Pictures are available upon request.

    Cheers,
    Marco

    What's the 2-in-1?

BTW, I thought you were getting rid of spares, but you're actually getting rid of your one-and-onlys too?!?

The 2-in-1 appears to be some kind of early attempt by Atari to make a mulitgame cartridge. I have a Defender / Breakout combo and one with Air Sea Battle / dead EPROM. They come in hacked Othello cases.

I'm selling 90% of my prototype collection, just keeping a handful of the titles that are really special (to me). Oh, I'm also keeping the prototype hardware

    Cheers,
    Marco

That Rabbit Transit is very tempting, too. If it doesn't go in the next week or two please let me know.

I'm still kicking myself for not buying CPUWIZ' Rabbit Transit proto cart when he sold it for like $150. I so want that, but $600 is out of my league.

Eh, CPUZWIZ sold it to me for $450, and I traded it to Marco for the only other known Rabbit Transit cart, which I found at a flea market. $150? I wish.

Well, that makes me feel better!

I remember that story about you trying to re-acquire your thrift store find. Not sure why I had it in my head it went for $150 though.
