Got a new copy of Steel Battalion for Xbox (complete with mammoth controller) being transferred down to my local Toys R Us. At $99.99 CDN I couldn't resist any longer.

Also picked up a DVD set that I missed when it was released. Dream On: Seasons 1 & 2 ($48.98 CDN). I loved this show when it came out and I still think it's the best comedy I've ever seen. All hail Martin Tupper!

Got my copy of Chavez 2 in the mail today.

The thing is grimy as Hell though. I don't even want to see if it works until I think of a way to clean this thing.

These were late Saturday/Sunday finds that never got posted!

    Blockbuster
    Final Fantasy Tactics (PS1, new) - $10

    Pawn
    Ring of Red (PS2, complete) - $10

Thrift (all Phillips CD-i and complete) - $3 each
    Caesar's World of Gambling
    Clue
    Escape from Cybercity
    Litil Divil
    Mad Dog McRee
    Power Hitter
    Space Ace
    World Cup Golf: Hyatt-Dorado Beach
The Wacky World of Miniature Golf featuring Eugene Levy

Also, I found a loose Intellvision plug-and-play at the same thrift for $3. There was a grimy Phillips controller, but I never found a unit to play the games on.

Oh, and today's my birthday, although I probably won't get anything game-related...I never do. I'm going to have a beer later...I'll post that new at $3.
Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.

You can't call it a loss anytime you get a rare PSX game for just ten bucks. Just don't get your hopes up about the gameplay. I'm a Speed Racer fan, and I was so disappointed by the game. Lack of tracks. Lack of cars. Lack of fun gadgets. Lack of music. Lack of anything "good" really. It's quite possibly one of the worst racers I've ever played. No wonder it never received any press or sold well.

The one good thing is that the entire Speed Racer opening is in the game, as a full-motion cutscene.
