Default My customized Dodge Viper Dreamcast + white Atari 2600 JR

I took the whole thing apart, and used Krylon Fusion paint.

    Things yet to do:

    - Mod the power LED from orange to blue
    - Possibly add "lighted" headlights, if I can figure out how
    - Paint the controller port piece black

Thoughts? All comments are welcome and appreciated.

EDIT: here's an Atari 2600 JR that I just painted for the heck of it, in case anyone ever wondered how it would look painted white :P.

How about a spoiler lip and xenon headlights for the power light?

Add LEDs to the controller ports so you can have those headlights you wanted. You'll just have to figure out how to do it. It should look something like the Xbox power LED or you could bore out the inside of the back of the controller ports and add yellow LEDs there.

Oh, and I thought I'd add that the whole thing so far took me probably 4 hours of time, and $4.00 at Walmart with the paint.

And I covered all the labels and everyone with tape, so it turned out awesome .

I'm excited about it. Maybe I'll go paint my Genesis now.

Drop the whole thing down a few inches, it'll never be able to make high speed turns at that height

    but really, it's pretty cool

    Thanks.

I just won another DC on eBay last night, so I'll probably do something to that also.

Nice work! How long did it take you? Would the paint chip?

I'm thinking about 6 hours max from conception to completion. That involves cutting, taping over lots of things (right down to the labels on the bottom), painting, dis-assembling, and re-assembling everything.

And no, the paint doesn't chip.

Not bad for the amount of time it took me and $4.00 in paint .

No. And it's not the same, but yeah, quite similar from the looks of things. Mine should be more "Viper-ish" than that one, though, when it's done.

I had a copy of Test Drive 6 lying around, and got the idea.

By the way, that's a cool site with lots of awesome mods - thanks for pointing it out .
